Demand Response Service

In Berkeley County Demand Response Service travels up to a mile and a half off the regular fixed route.  Requests will be available on a first come, first served basis. Medical appointments take priorty and should be scheduled as soon as possible.  Reservations must be made at least one day in advance, prior to 3:00 pm.  This service can be arranged by calling the PanTran office at 304-263-0876.  The cost of the service is $3.00 plus the regular route fee (see rate schedule).  Hours of service are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.


The Jefferson County Demand Response Service can travel anywhere within Jefferson County.  For first time Medicaid patients please contact Jefferson County Council on Aging at 304-725-4044 for approval.  On Thursdays transportation to Winchester is provided for morning appointments only.  Call prior to 3:00 pm the day before your trip to schedule with the Mobility Manager.  Appointments must be between the hours of 6:30 am to 3:00pm.  Jefferson County Demand Response operates on donations; the standard donation is $3.00.

Request Requirements

  1. Service must be requested at least one day in advance.

    1. Full Name
    2. Address of Pickup
    3. Address of Drop (if not on the scheduled route)
    4. Time of Pickup
    5. Telephone
    6. E-Mail Address (for online requests)
